Soft top bow spacing

I am restoring my convertible top after 30 years in pieces. All the fabric is gone so I need the spacing on the bows. In particular the rear bow to the #3 bow.

Thanks,

JW

The bow spacing on a Midyear is: Measuring from the front edge of the header. 14" to center of #1 bow, 24" to center of #2 bow and 34" to the center of the #3 bow.
The #1 bow has a positive stop so go by that. It may be off a little.
The #3 bow can vary by 1/2". When you tack the pads only put a couple of staples in the #3 bow as you may need to adjust the pad length.
If you need any help feel free to PM me. I have done many midyear tops.

Hi Woodsdesign,
My top bow is no longer attached to the top and flops down when I drive. Is there an easy way to reattach this bow while it is in place???
thanks, Bob

If you are talking about the #1 bow you would have to remove the header staples and corner w/s. Pull the material back and restaple.
It is not that bad of a job.
