Porsche unveiled the Concept Study 918 Spyder at Geneva. It makes about 500hp from a 3.4 V8 and 218hp from electric motors. This is a gorgeous, gorgeous machine. Porsche can make even a hybrid the sex!

Does it have that electric spool up engine that stores power during braking and then is able to use it when exiting a turn?

If so I hope they got that stupid 40k rpm thing OUT of the cockpit. If that thing came apart you would be in 40k+ parts....lol

It looks sweet but we shall see if it ever comes to volition.

BTW....we drive Corvettes. They are hybrids. They burn gas and rubber. :)

Beautiful car, but I'll bet it costs $150,000!

If it makes it to production, I'd bet on $300k+.

I love it! There are so many possibilities out there with hybrid technology, I like seeing manufacturers go after the performance side of it as well.
