Good non american made car to replace CTS?

Never though I would do it but I guess american car quality has just went way down hill. Never bought a foreign car before but, with only 60,000 miles on the clock and a rod hanging though the block on my wifes 2006 CTS I am done.

Sorry to hear that. Honda, Nissans and even Toyota's are all good cars. Last year I picked up a 2 year old Nissan Altima for under $13. Its a 4 cyclinder. The V-6's have nearly 300hp. The drive train warranty is 60k miles..........made in TN. Honda Accords are good and might cost more but might be better than a Nissan with a better resale value. New or used car?

Well for some reason there are a lot of cheap Toyotas on the market right now :D

Sorry you had issues with your Caddy but that's a one in a million problem. Stick with GM products, they're better than most imports these days.

Almost 5 years with our Lexus and not ONE problem. By far, our RX400h has been the most reliable vehicle we've ever had.

Acuras and Infinities have also (for the most part) been very reliable vehicles. I'd say that you are much more likely to have a trouble-free luxury vehicle if you choose one of these.

I have owned 4 Acuras over the past 10 years...... great ownership experience..... last 2 cars have never been back to dealer for any type of warranty work.

If I were replacing a CTS I would look at:

Acura TL
Lexus IS/GS
Infiniti G35/G37 or M35/M45
Benz C or E class
Bimmer 3 or 5 series
Audi A4/S4 or A6/S6

I'd give the Hyundai Genesis a look.

if your interested I am selling my C300 4matic (awd).. look down a few posts. I can take off all the exterior stuff if you don't want it. Not a big deal. Car is CPO meaning it has bumper to bumper warranty till 100k miles or august 2013. Its an 08 with 24,xxx miles. Let me know. I can work you out a sweet deal. My car just an FYI at dealer auctions is bringing $26k + fees, transport, and whatever work needs to be fixed on it. My car is CPO ($2k for a dealer to do that) - no auction cars will be cpo) brand new tires, and is in MINT condition ( I am a car enthusiast) and keep everything perfect.

It is a great daily driver, I once had a cts and my tranny was replaced at 400 miles.. factory defect on my new car. (wonderful).

I average 23-26mpg, and its very smooth. Smoother than your 06 cts and has all your typical options (rain sensor wipers, heated seats, sunroof, sirius xm radio, bluetooth ready, etc). Car is also like I said awd, which would be nice in delware, especially like winters we just had. I used this car through 2 blizzards in NJ without a hitch.

CPO'd 2008 Acura TL. Fantastic cars. I looked at the new CTS, the M35, the C-class and a few others before I got it. The build quality is ridiculous for the money. If only GM could get to that level.

What are you looking to spend? The reason I ask is because things like Lexus' and Acuras hold their value really well.
