Taking a 3 month break from powdercoating

Hi everyone,

I will be closed for new business until July 5, 2010.

5 years of being a full time airline pilot and full time powdercoater are starting to take their toll on me. I am coming home from trips and am greeted by a backlog of parts to coat and frankly, I am getting burned out.

I have decided the best course of action for me right now is to take a 3 month break to get my enthusiasm back. It might be shorter, but probably not.

If you have already been in contact with me about work, or are on any of my waiting lists for exchange, I will still be doing your stuff.

If you have sent in parts or talked to me about sending them in, I will still be doing those.

If you are one of the Corvette shops that I work with, I will still be available to support you during this time

If you are a current customer who has any problem whatsoever and needs a replacement part or any other service, I will still be here for you

I just need to cut the workload by about 90% for a bit before quality starts to suffer. I'd rather do no work at all than shoddy work, and it wouldn't be fair to the customer in the end.

Thanks for your understanding.

Good to cool your jets Mike. BTW, my MR calipers you did a couple years ago are still looking great.

I will miss all the "Mike did a great job" postings and pictures here on the forum for the next 3 months. I can't imagine how you kept up with it for as long as you have. Enjoy the break, we really appreciate your work!

Not to mention that airline pilot stuff! Take a rest!

Yeah - that's a lousy deal when that airline job gets in the way of the powdercoating business!!!;)

Enjoy your reduced workload for the next several months, Mike!!!

Best,

Mike,

I can certainly understand. Hang in there and take some time for you and for your family. Honestly, good for you for recognizing that you just needed a break and doing something about it. Don't be a stranger around the forum if you can swing it. We look forward to seeing you back in business. Fly safe in the mean time.

Paul

Mike, even though we have never done business, I've always respected you on the forum and have seen nothing but positive comments about your work and how you handle your business. Sounds like you deserve some time off.

Sounds like you need a break.

Or open up a full blown powdercoat shop and hire people to do the work for you!

(J/K, I'm sure few could do the work up to your standards!)

Enjoy your break!
