2 Fuel injectors needed

Hello,

Just found out that 1 of my injectors is no good. Does anyone know where I can purchase 2 Fuel injectors for the same cylinder. I understand that there are 2 different types of injectores for each cylinder (Primary & Secondary),it would be appreciated if I could get the Part# and Brand for each.

I just ordered a new Plenum gasket which I should have by Saturday
Thanks

Ben,

Don't just replace 2 injectors... Replace them all.

FIC / Bosche injectors work well and they are inexpensive.

Concur replace them all. Im running RCs but they are expensive buggers. A few are memeber are running Accell's as well. I think FIC are the best price point at the moment and are supporting members

If your inejctors are 90-92, you absolutely need to replace all 16. If you are going through the effort of a plenum pull - you don't want to go back for a while.

I just did mine, 5 of 16 were bad, lesss than 9 ohms. Difference in engine smoothness is night and day.

You can go with the lowest cost (FIC - Accell), or go with a Multec "look alike" - which is what I went for on my 1990. They were $550 from FIC for the set.

I struck gold

Well, through some major digging and help from fellow forum members I was able to snag a complete set of 16 New GM LT5 fuel injectors for $320.00. The fellow forum member had just 1 set.

Never realized how expensive some people were asking for just 1. I was quoted a price as high as $216 and as low as $45 for 1 GM LT5 Primary injector. As I have learned the Secondaries are much cheaper.

Does anyone know what GM sold them for back in 90 - 95?

Thanks again.

Well... I did exactly what you "were" going to do. I replaced 2 on my 1990 with GM injectors at a cost of $280 something each. About a month later another went bad. I bought 16 RCs and did them all. RC injectors are expensive but personally, I am very happy I went with them.

what was your driveability that made you suspect an injector problem? currently my 1991 zr1 is plagued with a engine miss/stutter under a load w. power key on. ive replaced all coils, wires, plugs, fuel filter and ran car on motor vac injector cleaning machine and no improvment at all.... thank you for listening...:(

the stock 90-92 injectors have an inherriant problem with their coils. Put an ohm meter on each one and check the resistance.. they should be 16+- .5,, I bet thats your problem. We sell 3 different replacement sets for the zr1. new delphi 549 new lucas (same as RC) 749 and Bosch rebuit 349.. All sets are e 10 compliant and ALL or injectors are warranteed for 3 yrs. we have sold a ton of the Bosch's I'm very satisfied with them, they are an excellent injector and the sets are flow matched. They are rebuilt so there is always the possibility of a failure. But, to be frank, New ones fail also. I do like the new ones from delphi, they look stock and you wont loose any points if its a show car. But, performance wise I can't see the difference.
