Trading in the Vette

I have owned the Corvette since Dec 2007. I have throughly enjoyed the car and making modifications to it. I have decided to make a change. I am trading it in tomorrowfor a 2010 Silverado Z71. I am getting 28.5 on trade in. It is paid for and I am getting the Silverado for 29.8. So I just have pay the difference and tags, etc.

Iwould like to thank all who haveposted and helped me with any questions I had. Maybe one day I will get another vette.

I have a feeling you might be back

Wouldn't anyone around here give more than the trade in price? Regardless, its too late now. Best of luck with the new Silverado. You're going to miss the Vett, but of course it wouldn't haul a sheet of plywood or pull a boat.

you might be sowwy one day....I traded an 01 ta for a Hemi ram....I regretted it in 10months...In a few more months I traded it for a new 04 Mach 1....then a new GTO and then.....the Vette....

good luck and enjoy though.

I know what you mean. i have a 2008 vette (paid for), and just bought a 2010 silverado crew cab for a daily driver / tow rig. The good news is i love the silverado, but probably since it is black like the vette and has the 6.2l V8, just like the vette!

Just Buy It 05-27-2010 10:35 PM

Why?

carjo 05-27-2010 10:40 PM

It took me many, many years to get to a point where I could own a Corvette. It would break my heart if I had to give it up now. I can't imagine myself deciding to make a change and get rid of my Vette. Should you later decide to get another, I hope you are in a position to make it happen. Good Luck.

:iagree: That is if your finances' will allow it. But to be honest, my 4x4 Silverado extended cab is a blast to drive on the beach. Good Luck

I'd hate to make a one or the other choice but suffice it to say I wouldn't want to be without the utility of my big Suburban or a truck. I bought a couple sheets of plywood the other day and my oldest son was skeptical that they'd fit in the Suburban. I think it surprised him how easily they went in.

You'll love the truck. I have the first year of this model, a V8, '07 extended cab Silverado. The mileage sucks, 15 city, and 20 highway tops, but I love my truck, it's my DD. The interior is comfortable, and they ride great. I have the standard bed, so with the extended cab it seem long at first, but you get use to it. At the dealer's parts dept you can get rear wheel well liners that make it look finished, and G.M. makes black plastic bed rails that match the tailgate, they even have some nice stainless, pop up, tie downs that fit in the stake sides. Get that stuff, Linex the bed, and you're good to go.

If I had to choose between my Vette, or my truck it would be :seeya Vette.

You will enjoy the truck I do enjoy mine, but I bought my vette after the truck and now if one has to go ... it will be the truck. See you soon, probably really soon!

wxmcpo 05-28-2010 01:03 AM

Like others have already said, you'll enjoy the truck, but most definitely miss the vette. I had a 2006 F150 prior to my vette and I regret selling that truck. I am secretly hoping the new owner decides to sell her one day and I can swoop in and buy it. I want a new vette so bad once this one is paid off, but I am seriously leaning towards another truck.

Good Luck with your new ride...and come back soon!
