Let's See Some 315's From The Rear
Hey guys,
I'm going to be buying some AFS ZR1 polished replicas within the next week or so, and I was wanting to see how much the tires are going to stick out past the fenders. Let's see em  |

They'll sit flush, just go with about 1.5 degrees of negative camber in the rear and they're perfect. If you go with typical alignment shop specs 0-.5 +/- they'll stick out.
When I took my car to the alignment shop, I just eyeballed it flush while the tech was moving the camber adjuster in the rear. Once flush, I just told him to hold it there. It ended at about 1.4 neg in the rear and was inline with the VBP suggested baseline "handling" settings. |

Do the 315's have room on the inside? If so couldn't you use a higher offset wheel to help tuck them??
OR Are they a way to "mini tub" or possibly shorten the rear axle. I would really like to to run 315's but don't want the skated look. |

Below, you can see how much travel you will have even with a VERY stiff suspension. Just because you may have clearance sitting still doesn't mean you will when things are moving. How do they wear with that much camber?
Wear is really more of a toe issue. Yes, your placing a little more pressure on the inside of the tire, but in turning the tire is becoming more evenly loaded. It's nothin to worry about. |

Quick question for you guys: Should I buy the AFS wheels with the cheap Sumi's or the AFS wheels with the more expensive Vredestein package? I've priced both tires, and for $100 more, I'm really getting $400 more worth of tire. What do ya'll think? |
