Help identify wire - Green/Black next to Compressor
 

Guys,

Please help me identify this wires: it is located next to AC compressor, I was looking at pics of C3 Engine and I know it connects to another cable, I couldn't find that another cables ,Can you tell me what I'm missing?

It may be for the fast idle solenoid at the carb. used to open throttle plates when AC load is initiated.... or it's for the thermal limiting switch that kills power to AC compressor when refrigerant is too low. I just can't remember for sure.

Check this thread and request the wiring diagram for your ride... this nice feller sent out many to fellow members.

What year is your 'Vette?

In my '81, a similar looking connector goes to the electric aux. fan on the radiator.

But, my wiring is blue/black.

that looks like the the plug that connects to the electric fan.

Your 81 has/had an auxillary fan. Sender is on the rear of the right head.

Brian told you right , the color is LtBlue and black. The lt blue turns to lt green over the years.
