considering nitrous - what about this kit?

i'm considering nitrous, and have been shopping around, and like the looks of this kit at WCC - http://www.westcoastcorvette.com/pro...il.cfm?iid=518

what do you guys think of this kit as far as parts, options, price?

is there anything missing in the kit?
anything else i should consider adding?
has anybody used the NX Maximizer? is it good, or a waste of money?
can any dealers out there offer a similar/better kit at a better price?

Very complete package.
You may not need the maximizer, but if you go on streettires and put in the 150hp pills, itīs a good thing to get better traction.

Look around for the price ;)

Only thing I miss is the Window switch. Donīt forget to get that also.
Itīs a must IMHO.

Michael

If you have WCC install that package it'll be over $4k. I already contacted them about it.

Kit has all you will ever need, excpet as Austrian said, no window switch, which is easy to pick up. A few people run the nx maxmizer and like it. NOS also makes one (actaully two designs). The price on the wcc is a lil high imo.

I currently have that system with the MSD window switch . The maximizer really is not necessary unless you run the 150 shot. Of course with stock tires it does help some when shooting a 100 shot.

Keep in mind that this system w/ the progressive controller and window switch is very time consuming to install. If you do not have alot of patience I would have someone install it for you.

i was wondering about that, and wondering why everybody who has the maximizer also got the window switch. if/when i do it, i think i'll just save some $$$ and get a window switch since i'll be running a max of 100 shot.

top quality stuff. I highly recommend NX products. Been running mine for a year with no problems. BUT, before you shell out $1800 for this kit, give me a ring as i have 2 complete kits exactly as they have (less the fuel additive) that i will sell one to you cheaper. all brand new stuff. + i have the 15lb bottles vs. 10lb. so, that would be: GEnXII kit, 15lb bottle, remote bottle opener, bottle heater, NX maximizer, blow down tube kit, large filters, purge kit. please email me if you are interested.

I always like a little extra security. Especially since the window switch is relatively cheap insurance. Plus if I want to turn the progressive controller off for a 100 shot or less I will have the window switch to back me up.

We have tried many N2O kits, and really like the NX stuff. We have been selling the kits for C5's and Vipers for 2 years now, and haven't had one complaint. Just make sure you get a good install. The wiring is really important, and is where most of the problems occur. The maximizer is a good unit, but takes time to tune to the best level the car can handle. If you are interested in any Nx products, we have great deals on kits and all accessories.

$4K
Heck, I'd install it for you for $200. Sheesh.
$4,000 - $1799.00 = $2201.00 to install?????
Let's see, it took me 10 hours, so 10 hours x $50/hr(labor) = $500. Now they do have to wire up that Maximizer, so I'll add an extra 2 hrs of labor, so $600 max for install in my opinion.
