it is good basic info but a bit one-sided. he fails to mention a few key points. first off, one of the best reasons to go wet is for safety. in a dry system if the MAF makes any error in reporting properly, you will go lean. then there is the tunability that a wet system offers that cannot be done with dry. if you ever want to dyno tune, or tune with Atap/scanEase, wet is the only way to go. then the point of intake puddling. well, the lowest point in the LS1 intake is at the intake valve. almost impossible to puddle in an LS1/LS6. the rest of his info is on the level, though. everyone has their own experiences to offer.

I'm glad you reported what you did rwj383. Nothing with Nitrous is the gospel. Just trying to give a little info to help in the thought process. Maybe a dry kit with an enriched fuel would be the answer. This way you would never have to worry about detonation. See... http://www.btrvette.com .

I am simply amazed by the level of expertise on this forum. Guys like you are the only reason guys like me can do mods. I'd be too afraid of screwing something up if it wasn't for the experts on the forum.

Hey, guys. I'm kind of new to nitrous, so can anyone tell me just what the heck a window switch is? As far as nitrous systems go, I mean, not as far as Power Windows.

A window switch is a control box that picks up the RPM signal from the PCM and uses that information to control the nitrous distribution. You can select different chips for start and finish RPM's such as 3000 and 6000. It's a good device to keep someone from over-revving or spraying too early...both of which can cause damage.
