ABS/Traction service soon
:willy:I have a 2003 with 17000 miles, it seems when i let the car sit for a while i get these readings, not sure if the battery is running low and is throwing the system out of wack. Any suggestions? it does go away when i drive it for a while....

What are the codes?
|
no codes
|
If the light is on, YOU HAVE CODES.
|
put a OBD scanner on and i still have no codes, with only 17,000 miles and sitting in the garage it should not of thrown a code i have done some research and found alot of owners that have replaced there batteries have the same thing happen to them, any way i will keep a trickle charger on the battery:crazy:

No pull the codes yourself screw the scan thing. It's built into the car.
http://www.stengel.net/diccodes.htm also check out the tech section in the "ultimate diy thread" and the sticky on abs/traction. I'll bet you a 6 pack you have codes.:bigears |

Berlin,
A couple of places fix this code, but you need to take out the unit and send it to them for the repair. One place is called ABS Fixer and I think they charge around $150.00 Do a search on ABS Fixer and you will find a lot of information |
just read an article from Senior member TRUSSME, trying to get pitures of where it is located, il find it, thank you all fo helping, cant believe only 17,000 miles and im having problems, any way just ordered the Black Cherry LED rear lights to cheer me up....

That tutorial from trussme has all the pics if yuo ever loose it check that sticky in the thread I mentioned above. Pretty straight forward procedure. Yes absfixer is your guy. Post pics of those lights when you get them. |
Just finished doing this myself, pretty easy to get the unit out and as long as you cover the exposed parts with plastic it's OK to drive it while ABSFixer.com is doing their thing. They turned the part around in a day and I had it back on and fixed in less than an hour. Make sure you get both connectors plugged back in really well. If you don't have the bottom (two-wire) connector all the way in it won't work (ask me how I know). If I had checked that earlier it would have been a 20 minute job.
Good Luck! |
Just finished taking the ABS off, sending it in monday.
|
check the maxi fuses i had one blown and fixed mine
