2011s @ Carlisle
Kerbeck had their usual stable of new Corvettes at Carlisle over the weekend. The new Inferno Orange is awesome on the C6!!! Although orange peel on the vertical panels is retained from previous years , Inferno Orange really looks good on the C6. The new Supersonic Blue? Not so much. Looks more like "metallic periwinkle" than blue. They also had a couple of Z06 Carbon Edition cars there in Supersonic Blue with the faux suede/leather seats, steering wheel and shifter.

I saw them at the Kerbeck display and I agree, the new Inferno Orange is  in the sunlight. I also noticed a '67 427 convertible nearby in Lyndale Blue which closely resembled the new Sonic Blue. How could it look so right on the '67 and not so right on the '11?

I actually feel the complete opposite of you. I thought the supersonic blue looked really nice and the orange not so much. To each their own.
|
Well, I thought both colors looked very nice, but I like a lot of variety in colors. I wish Corvette had a much broader color palate and changed their colors offered much more frequently. I think the vette carries the IO much better than it looks on the Camaro. I definitely like it better in person than in pics.

I think the supersonic blue looks great on the Z06 and the ZR1.Not so much on the coupe. The orange is nice too.Much better in person.

My wife and I love the new Supersonic Blue color. As a matter of fact we like it so much we ordered a new 2011 Equinox in Twilight Blue Mettalic which is the same color but different name.
I did not like the orange at all. As they say, to each his own. |
THIS THREAD IS USELESS WITHOUT PICS

 Very nice. |
I'm just glad they brought back torch red.

Here you go fella's. Personally I prefer the SB. Had an Orange 340 Duster back in the 70's. Almost the same color. Looks good, but, in my opinion I'd get the Torch Red first.

Neither color really blows me away, but those Z's are nice.
I guess if you put a gun to my head and made me pick one it would be the SSB. :D |
