So what do you bring on long road trips?

I bring a jack, cell phone, tire plug kit, my little Z compressor, basic hand tools, and whatever else I need for where I am going. Just curious what else others pack as far as emergencies are concerned.

If I know I am traveling over terrain I dont know or will be driving at night, I pack my handgun as well :D

I always have a compressor and sensor safe Fix-A-Flat in the car along with a Mag Light flashlight. That with my cell phone and AAA Premium card and I'm good to go.

Goes without saying, always armed, short or long trip.

A aaa plus card, a credit card, a cell phone and a smile.

Usually just my cell phone and a small tool box that fits in the rear storage compartments. Always have emergency road service on my insurance and a credit card for those unexpected expenses.

Clean skivvies, a toothbrush, and beer money.

Mountain Dew and pretzels!

Learned when my wife was pregnant that the preztels slowed the rate of pee stops.

Dew keeps me awake, pretzels stretch the time between stops. Makin time baby!

AAA Premiere card (good for tows up to 200 miles which covers a lot of our not so long trips). Don't want to have the vette at some strange garage a couple hundred miles from home...would rather have someone I know and trust to work on it.

Quick detail spray, lots of rags/clothes, glass cleaner and newspapers, couple of flashlights, emergency kit, plug-in air pump w/spotlight- all this fits in the cubby-holes under the mats in the rear.

GPS and satellite radio

A couple of ice chests w/cold drinks, cold fruit, etc.

Two full-size golf bags w/pull carts, a couple of soft-sided suitcases and assorted cosmetic bags, etc. that the wife brings along and our c5 corvette blanket.

Only down side is that can take the top off sometimes when travelling with all this in the trunk (although there have been times when it will fit in the leather travel case and lay on top of the luggage and golf bags)

I think that's about it

i have a small tool bag that goes car to car depending on which one is going over the road at the time, always have my cell phone, hazard marker reflective triangles, unlimited road service program card, i did the double d mod so i have sat radio/gps in the car at all times (not to mention the ability to play some favorite dvd's if i am really bored waiting, lol!, a lap blanket roll (never know when you will need something like that). i am one of those stubborn folks that refuses to give up on run flats, so tire repair generally isn't required. if it is, that's why they have unlimited towing, lol. also never leave home without a small cooler with some snacks and water, plus of course whatever the trip itself requires in the way of golf, clothes, etc.

Road trip essentials

Currently up in Maine from Jersey. Wife was mad b/c i packed my k/n cold air box w/all the essentials i may need. That box, along w/2 suitcases/laptop bag (w/at&t national wireless aircard) and cooler is all that can fit in the back of the coupe. In the box is a mini jack/jack pucks/hand tools (to take off the aci front spoiler in the event it needs to get towed) breaker bar (for protection and tire changes) spray wax/radiator fluid/extra oil/windex/leather cleaner/simple green/armor all/cheese cloth/towels/etc). Better safe than sorry.....oh yea, and a triple "A" card.
