Problems bleeding the clutch slave cylinder...

Just finished replacing the clutch, flywheel, pp, and the slave cylinder. I put in a bleed hose and thought I had it bled. However, this morning I had problems with the clutch not disengaging, BUT when I'd pump the clutch 4-5 times the disengagement point would come back up and things would drive normally.

I checked under the car during lunch today (sat still around 5 hours), and don't see any leaks.

I've heard that sometimes it's hard to get the clutch slave cylinder bled completely. Is there anything I need to do to get the rest of the air out, or just bleed some more?

TIA, and have a good one,
Mike

What clutch did you use?

When I swapped clutches a few weeks ago I had to bleed it for a long time... Don't let the fluid in the reservoir get too low while your bleeding it or you'll suck in more air. Good luck.

Sounds more like your MC is on its way out if you can pump it up like that.

Pwrtrip: Just a stock replacement set of parts. Luk slave cylinder.

wcsinx: It's possible it's the MC, but I didn't touch it during all my recent clutch work.

cdkcorvette: I think I've got more bleeding to do. I'll let y'all know what happens when I get done.

Have a good one,
Mike
