I'm finally done with my '69 Vette - pics

I wanted to come back and update this thread showing the latest modifications to the car which include the Ramjet ZL1 motor and Silver Sport 5 speed trans conversion and to also list it for sale. This Ramjet is serial number 185 of 200 engines produced. The car rarely gets driven and it's a shame to have it sit here unused.

Selling price is $58,900
Serious inquiries only please. PM me for more info.

Thank you!
Jerry Gaddis

My car was an original 350/300 numbers matching car. I have carefully preserved the original engine, transmission and all other parts I removed from the car. I was lucky enough to have a lot of the original documentation that came with the car such as the original order form, dealer binder with owners manual, build sheet and assorted tags, etc. I even have the original owners finance papers. Their note was only $111 per month :) They traded in a '64 convertible on this '69 so they were true Corvette fanatics

WOW... that is very very nice. 69 coupes are my favorite C3. I am envious. Yes, your gonna turn a lot more heads with that than the Z06. Z06's are like toyota camrys where I am, everybody has one.
Enjoy your hard work...

Welcome back. Looks like you did a great job, that's the color my 69 is supposed to be, but your never really done.

Dude - that is hot! By the way, what is the width and offset of your wheels front and back? I am looking at making some changes at some point to mine and the tire/wheel combo is one of those areas.

Also, did you change the suspension at all like coilovers or ??

Thx, Gary

Hi,
Your 69 looks terrific in the pictures!
The ride height and stance look just right.
Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures.
Regards,
Alan

Thanks very much for the complements guys

The car looks awesome! I know the feeling about getting carried away with a newer car. My 01 z06 keeps alot of my money from the 71.

Hi Gary, Back spacing on rear wheels is 5.5"/back spacing on front wheels is 4"

I had to put the double offset trailing arms on to run those wheels.
You also have to remove the rear sway bar so that's why I went with the dual mount rear spring.... this setup enables you to not have to run a swaybar.

I'm still using springs on the front but they are 550 springs which lowers the ride height a bit.

Car looks great,

You've done some high quality work there

Looks great. That engine shot must be an early shot. I don't see the Vintage Air, serp. belt, hydroboost or the Steeroids. :D

Nice looking car. BTW I am running 18X10s also in the rear with stock trailing arms. They do fit but I also have a set of double offset arms ready to go on. They are beefier and the spring mount is in a better location with a shortened spring.

Car looks great. You have done a nice job with it. I love that color. One of my buddies has a 69 that is blue on blue like that and I love it. IT should be a nice driver the way you have it set up. Enjoy the ride. Awesome car.

Good observation Gordon :)
The car has changed quite a bit under the hood since that picture. I'll get some updated pics for you guys tomorrow.

Thanks very much. I spent the afternoon taking my 9 year old for a ride. I'm amazed at how good the car drives now with all the upgrades. My sons say they love the ole 69 better than my ZO6. It makes me happy to know these kids have an appreciation for the old classics.
