1985 vett stock cam specs
 

looking for stock cam specs. lift and advertised duration. also duration @50

what cam are you using. the cam im looking at is 219/227 duration
112 LC lift 468/489.

FSM says:
Intake .2377
Exhaust .2820
Those are lobe lift, with 1.5 rockers that translates to
Intake .410
Exhaust .423

Duration is not given.

The info I found is 85 & 86 were the same. 202/206 @ .050", lift with 1.5 rocker is 403/415 and lobe separation 114.5. For the cam you are looking at, you may have problems with clearance. I have heard max lift on stock heads is around .480.

Comp cam 12-314-4 260Duration@50 444 lift. Going to put it in at x-mas break. I have a 1986,only mods are headers w/true dual exaust an 1.6 rockers. Whats the point of try to rev past 4500-4800???

Hi I have the TPIS cam Torque Secrets : int/exh duration 221/230, lift .454 with 1.5 lifters
112 lobe separation. There is a slight lope on idle, but the cam is good gives a good pull.
A stock engine will be slightly vercammed , but have good results .

I have the Comp Cam 12-402-4 in my 85. 212/218 duration with .444 lift and 114 LSA. It's a flat tappet cam. It idles like a stock cam.
