Help with a Pioneer AVH P4200-DVD

Had a Pioneer stereo installed on my 2010 GS. I can hear static when stereo is turned off, mute is on, or very low volume. Dealer says is because of the stereo and the amp is always on. Does anyone have any advice with this. Thanks for the help
