Sebring 2011 Rollcall!

Getting to be that time of year again! May forego the Corral this year in lieu of bringing down a motorhome for a couple days rather than just the day pass on Saturday.

What's everyone doing this year? I'll be supporting the team but mourning the loss of JohnnyO to Caddy...a fellow Irishman and a great guy!

I have not been since I moved to Georgia 25 years ago. I am planning on attending this year. What can you tell me about the corral? I want to arrive late Thurs. You used to be able to camp in the corral. Do they let you do that now? I don't want to have to camp with my vette in the general camping area!!!

i just moved down to FL and i wanted to go to this. i'll be watching this and seeing what everyone is doing and maybe meet up with some people.

TNTC4VETTE 01-04-2011 11:02 PM

Ya know, I have no idea about camping in the Corral. The times Ive had the various Vettes there over the years I always came in and left Saturday.

I am hoping to make it back this year. Last year was my 1st trip to Sebring and with all the new entries this year I really would like to be there.

Corral camping

Haven't seen any camping in the Corvette corral for the past several years. It gets pretty packed on race day.

spoiled996 01-10-2011 02:23 PM

would like details as well, as I would love to finally get down there!

pewter99 01-11-2011 08:55 AM

We will be there.

No camping in the corral.

Im there - probably in the corral like last year

bgreen83 01-17-2011 07:03 PM

How does the coral work? Do you get to see the race cars before the race and what not? Meet the drivers?
Thanks

joghotrod 01-20-2011 05:35 PM

Hey guys,

Thinking about going to the race, which hotel is the best place to stay, and with reasonable rates? I have been to Petit Lemans, but never to Sebring. Thanks.

Jimmy

Jimmy,

if you ain't got a hotel by now....good luck. Hotel space is very very very....did I say very? limited in Sebring. Most have 4-5 night minimums. That being said depending on how far you are willing to drive there are some options outside of Sebring. I highly recommend corral parking.

Let us know if you plan on making the trip. We will be there. We can give you some "must haves" you will need to pack.
