Corsa Sport vs Xtreme
I read up on a lot of threads I searched, watched youtube clips, listened to clips off the Corsa site but still had a few questions.
For those of you that owned Corsa Sport, or Xtreme or possibly anyone that has had both I had a few questions. At first I was really leaning toward the Corsa Sport, but after watching youtube video clips I am now leaning toward the Xtreme, but unfortunately in videos you really can't get a great feel on how loud the systems really are. I have LG longtube headers with cats, Novi 1500 S/C, the car is a 2006 A6 so that's another thing, in the videos on some you can't tell whether it's an A6 or M6. I wanted to know if the Xtreme is truly "too" loud. I want my system loud, but not annoyingly loud, or so loud when I start it up I will wake all of my neighbors up. I don't start my car up that late, or early but I do come home late some nights when cruising around so I don't want it to be too loud coming home where I wake all of my neighbors. In an A6 how is the drone on the sport, xtreme? More or less any feedback would be great, I want the car loud at idle, decently loud when driving around but not really loud when cruising with a ton of drone, some is fine but not a lot. On an A6 does anyone know if either of them gurgle or pop when downshifting? Thanks, sorry for the cluttered questions  |
Hello Le mans C6, I have the Corsa Xtreme on my 06 M6, and I believe they are not loud at all given you don't your foot to the metal while still in the garage. Upon exceleration you can make them sing, but at hwy speed you can listen to the radio and not know there on. Check with Corsa and see if they recommend the Xtreme for the A6. If you go to the Corsa web site you can hear a demo. for both systems. Good luck.

I have the Corsa Sport installed on my 07 A6 and like them a lot. My Vet is a DD so while driving around I like to hear the radio & cell phone. I do get some popping now & then when down shifting, which sounds nice IMO! Over all the Corsas are nice to look at & hear.

Whatever choice you make I don't think you will be disappointed. Cheers! |
I have the Corsa sport on my 2005 and love them. They are more than loud enough if you push the gas pedal. I purchased at last years Bloomington Event in Chicago. At the show Corvette Mike had all different types there and you could hear and compare them if you had the time to watch each car being installed. I think that the installation was either free or at a reduced price.

Awesome, anyone here with an A6? Does it sound okay on the automatics? I know sometimes loud exhaust can sound 'odd' on automatics at times. I think I am leaning towards the Xtreme as it doesn't sound that loud. I ask about the downshifting and popping because I really like the sound, I know some don't but I do. Thanks for the input, anymore would still be appreciated.

I have the corsa xtreme for my c6 ls3 manual, it's extremly amazing and had a unique sound especially when you go WOT!
I just wished they make 3" system for it :) |
I have the Sports on my '07 with an A6. There was no drone until I installed my ARH long tubes which removed the Corsa resonators. After the header installation, I was getting a terrible drone at highway cruising speeds during any mild acceleration in the 1400-1700 RPM range. I talked to ARH and bought some resonators from them which I had installed which eliminated that drone. I like them again now. They are fairly quiet while cruising but really scream when you get on it.

I have the Sports on my 06 A6 and have been happy with the performance and sound since day one. The only other exhaust I would consider is the Akrapovic. But the cost is prohibitive and they do not manufacture an applicaton for the LS2/LS3, just the LS7/LS9 engines. |

It wasn't long after that the NPP Exhaust came out on the 08's and I opted to go that route instead. |

:iagree: I just installed the Corsa Sport on my 2007 MN6 and love it. I don't have headers though. I think that I probably could have gone with the Extremes as the sound could be a little louder. As others have said, with Corsa there tends to be no drone at cruising speeds which is great. Sometime I want to hear my exhaust and other times I do not.

I'm probably going to do the sport system for my '07 shortly. Is this a weld type system or clamps only?

I have an 08 A6 Vert with ARH 1 3/4" LTs and the Corsa Sports. I love them. They are totally loud when you get on it and always in the background when you are not. Yes, there is some burble on downshifts, which is cool, too. Frankly, with the top up I wouldn't want anything louder.
If there is a downside its with the A6 and not the exhaust. I haven't tuned my tranny yet (should be another week or so), but with the stock settings and light throttle the thing just trys to get into a higher gear quickly and the soft shifts just don't make it sound right. I never noticed this with the stock exhaust because it was so quiet. Using the paddles to make it sound like a M6 is fun though. I would go with the sports and I bet after you hear it you'll want to get a good tranny tune as well. |

Clamps only for my 07 A6, you will like the Sport.

I have the Corsa Sport on my 2006 Z51 manual. No drone, but good sound while accelerating.

I have Corsa Sports on my 06 A6 and there is ZERO drone. The only time you hear them from inside the car ( from the outside they sound good) is either when the roof and or the windows are down, or you nail it. However, when I got them I had talked with the Corsa people and they told me that when and if I get headers the Sports will get a lot louder, but the Extremes would be obnoxious and they didn't recommend them. Personally, I prefer a deeper sound like the GHL's, Borlas or B&B's give, but they all drone with an A6. :leaving:
