Those who went 19/20
Those who went to a 19/20 setup, how do you like it and will you keep it? I'm planning on getting new rims when I change rubber shortly and am considering this. Trying to get a feel of the pros/cons. Can you tell a difference in performance, speed (slightly slower???), etc. I've heard some say do it and others that say don't, but want to get a wider range of first hand knowledge and opinions.

I went 19/20 and have no regrets or performance issues. I'm actually thinking about going 20/20 when I do the wide rear conversion. 18/19 combo looked too small to me. |

One reason I'd say no is the rear 20's make the stock brake calipers look tiny.

Looks good . Is it lowered and what's your tire sizes? They do appear to fill out the wells pretty good. No rubbing issues I suppose, since you didn't say.
Its stock height in that picture. I think the tires are 295/30/20 & 245/35/19. no rubbing issues. |

Ah, I see that . . . for the first time. But other than that, seems not to be a performance negative as long as you keep the correct tire "% ratio" between fronts and rears, correct??? That all could affect "abs" and/or "active handling" I've heard. That may be a problem, depending on the tires you want.
I've had 19/20 for about a year now with zero complaints. |

Keep the tires close to the original diameter and you'll be fine with the active handling. http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCal...?action=submit I've had 19/20 for about a year now with zero complaints.

With some help the other day from another good member (leadfoot88) here, I found the wheels/owner (teazr1) that I was looking for, although he just it sold w/60k on the clock. His rear tires are the same as yours but his fronts are 265/30/19 . . . He said his was lowered to the "ultra max" though! Have to say, the combo looks really good and if most don't have an issue with them . . . very tempting.

I think you'll be very pleased with the 19/20 combo. I would love to run a wider tire up front and will probably need to if I keep these wheels and just order the wider rears for the big butt conversion. I am looking at options now with my current wheels. i might just powder coat them a glossy black. I'll also be testing how low I can go with some different shocks and some hardbar lowering bolts this spring. |

I love how my 19/20s look. No issues at all. I actuall like how it grips now, but that is more the tires than wheels. Mine has 305 on the back and is lowered with aftermarket bolts. My rear quarters will slightly hit the tires if I hit a large bump, so I don't think 325s are possibe. Depends on offset of wheel too.

I've had it for @ three years with no issues. I think it's a good look. 20/20 is a bit much IMHO. There is a guy in the area w/ 22/22. I actually had to pull up to his car in a parking lot and confirm the size. To neach their own...

Maybe these will change your mind about the 20/20 combo.

Man, Cha ching, Cha ching . . . "all it takes is money, and plenty of it!" I'll wet my pants if I just get the wheels and tires at this point . Wouldn't mind getting the cals powder'd too though. And if you get them painted the "right" color, they'll blend in and you won't be able to see how small they are (ha!).
Wish some others would throw up some pics of their 19/20 setups. |
