Power steering fluid

Before people telling me to do a search, I did. However, I don't understand the issues that are discussed, i.e., Synthetic, G.M. #1052884 or equivalent. I bought Preston Power Steering Fluid as it states it is acceptable for all vehicles. One of the threads advises use Syn only??? Thanks in advance. My car is a 2000 with 28000 miles.

This is easy.....no forum opinions needed here. If you don't want to buy the GM fluid, then just make sure whatever fluid you do buy, states that is meets or exceeds the GM number. Look on the bottle, or their website........below are a couple examples of manufacturers, that clearly state their compliance with GM 1052884.
