a/c & smog delete............ford tempo belt
On my 1984 Corvette I just deleted my a/c and my air pump using a 92' Ford Tempo belt. The belt is 70.5 inches long and fits many cars.

yea thats my goal it cleans up the engine bay very nicely i love the pictures of yellowvets 84 w the ac smog pump delete and shorter belt. No reason to buy more parts just taking em out. Thanks for the input on this one my vette will be very happy to have some hands on!!

would the gator back poly v 70.50 in. work for me? (its a 6 rib man. # 4060705) i couldn't find the pbh6k703 i can find other dayco but not this specific one

Dreading up your old thread and would like to ask how has this configuration work out long term? I did the same mod as you but have been told I may need to use care because; "However, your tensioner should be between the last "loaded" pulley, and the drive pulley, which in your case, it's not. You've got the tensioner ahead" of the water pump." Or would enjoy hearing from anyone with this configuration |

Or would enjoy hearing from anyone with this configuration Removed smog pump & AC compressor as shown about a year ago Used a 70.5" Dayco Belt from AutoZone, part number 5060705 aka 6PK1790Belt is from a 2003 Chevy Impala. was in stock at Autozone Working fine Heres where I got the idea belt is 70.5 inches long and fits many cars. |
