C4 guru in middle Tennessee

Anyone know of a knowledgable, reasonably priced and friendly C4 expert in middle TN? Specifically in the drive-train arena.......

I would be interested as well as I live about 60 miles south of Nashville and just bought our first C4 about one month ago. :D

I've owned 5 C3's and 2 C5's, but this is our first C4.

Obviously not in Tenn, but Zeke @ Corvettes Unlimited in Huntsville, AL is a stand-up guy.

They are a small shop that (well, duh) specializes in Corvettes. I visited them once, but never had any work performed there. They had a couple real-nice chrome-bumper C3s in the shop.

When you say drive train what do you mean exactly, trans (auto or manual), clutch or differential? There is a trans shop in Clarksville that did an excellent job rebuilding my friends' 700 R4 he has in his 78 C3.

Well, mine is a 6 spd. It has vibrations at about 3500rpm that seem to be clutch/flywheel/harmonic balancer. I really want someone who knows about this stuff to drive it and work out what it is. I don't have a huge amount of faith in my local Chevy dealer, plus their costs are astronomical ($450 for a programmed PKE fob!) I would prefer it to be someone within 50-75 miles of the Nashville area.

If you're able to go a little farther north to Bowling Green, KY, I'd trust this shop with anything and everything Corvette: http://www.automastersofbg.com/

Isn't Gordon Killebrew from Tennessee?

asjwalsh,
Has the clutch been replaced with an aftermarket single mass flywheel?
If so, there's recently been a fantastic thread in tech regarding flywheel balancing.

Thanks Mike, you know, while I do consider myself very mildly techy, I bought the car from a dealership and have no contact with the previous owner(s). I have just been enjoying driving it and have not yet started pulling things off. I have read the numerous threads re SMF replacing DMF but it is all a bit confusing. Since it only has 46k I suppose I assume it is all original (never ever assume etc)
Here's hoping this post doesn't get relegated to the 'idiot's posting questions' thread!!

hahahahah....nah, I don't think so. Let us know how you make out please.
