Can I run 16inch rims on my 91?

I have a set of very nice chrome 5 spoke rims off of my 02 ws6 trans am. I was wandering can I put them on my 91 vette. I am pretty sure when I had a 85 that it had 16s from the factory. If I do use the 16 inch rims anyone know what size tires would be best?

why would you like your Vette to look like a T/A? As it is with 17" wheels there is a big fender gap, with 16" wheels the gap will be even bigger.

I'm going to GUESS that you can't unless you have the small 12" rotor diameter that the 1LE camaros and B4C police package F-bodies had. Those cars did have the vette dual piston PBR front caliper. It's not going to work with the optional larger j55 13" brake rotor that comes on 95's, 96's, and ZR-1's.

Factory 16" C4 rims made by Enkei clear the J55 calipers fine

What width are new rims ?
Factory used 255/50's on both 8.5" and 9.5" rims
