Whats my trans/engine/etc worth?

Well I'm going to be yanking my engine, trans, a/c, computer etc. that way I can start building my new setup..

Specs on the original stuff..out of an 88 Vette, auto trans.

138k original miles, doesnt smoke, starts right up. Comes with all fuel injection stuff, ignition, a/c (no power steering, keeping that), trans, convertor etc.

Want to get fair value in a trade or sale.

Your location and your patience will determine the value of used parts. You will get slightly less if you sell it all at once then if you parted everything out. And you will get more if the buyer can see and hear the engine in the car before hand. If you don't have the time, then video the car running with something saying the date (newspaper)
(in central NC) Their are two L98/automatic combo's in my local craigslist. Both are $1200 for the pair and both have been for sale for some time. (mileage unknown).

Run it localy for a high amount and see how many bites you get. if none, then keep lowering the price until you do.

yea, just did that.

In my opinion, (without the car) the engine and trans is worth about the same as a carb engine and trans with a 130k
