That was cool. Thanks for sharing.

Very cool, I liked it. Funny to see that many 54 BLK Corvettes all together at one time. Wonder if they can prove if they were all real Bkl cars at birth?

Great video  Looks like a great time at Bloomington this year.

One was out of place - the '66 between the 2 '67's!

Bloomington Gold was great this year, and the collection was amazing. One guy from St Louis purchased 12 cars from the black collection. The 1961 is now in my collection.

Yeah, you could tell when the brake lights came on. (among other things)

I've seen this collection before in person. Our club went to visit it last year. What a collection!  I was sad to see that he was selling a large part of it since we were due for a repeat visit this fall. In addition to all of the black Corvettes he had many other GM cars also all in black. Most all of the Vettes were fuel cars, big block high HP cars. An amazing collection.

Who is "he"?

1Sweet66 06-27-2011 04:40 PM

Bill Mullis (sp?). He has a large homestead out near Hendersonville, NC and I think also is in the Fla. area as well. Not sure who he exactly is but our club had the opportunity to go out and visit his NC home and garages all set on what seemed 100+ arces. There was a curator/mechanic/family friend that met our club and took us through his multiple garages. Really nice guy. All of the cars had battery tenders on them and all were started/driven on a regular basis! One fantastic collection!

why did he sell them all? Is he tired of black? Very impressive collection!

Not sure, sorry to see them seperated but it sounds like at least 12 stayed together. My favorites were his '65 BB and fuelie cars 1 each coupe and vert, 4 total all awesome.

I wonder what the total sale value was for the collection??? Anybody add this up?? :lurk:

So many cars and just one touch-up stick for spot repair. :D
