After screwing around with the HORRIBLY MADE, impossible to fit because it's short Star Craft hood I went back to stock today. Woulda done it sooner but It took four days because I couldn't get my OE hod back fro the Speed Shop over the weekend. I actually put this monstrosity on my car...(with a blower underneath it:D )

My point is: look at these 3 pix. The clean line of the Vette styling really can't be improved upon. I never really appreciated the hood until I didn't have it anymore.

Took the 2 new ones today after changing out the hood. I can sleep at night again:lol:

Looks much better stock!!

JoesC5 07-12-2011 03:22 PM

That hi-rise hood hurts my eyes. I even prefer the stock C6 hood over the hi-rise ZR1 hood or the optional hi-rise hood for the 2012 Z06.

but for the cost of doing it all over again, I completely agree with you, Steve. the stock hood looks much better. thanks for posting up. you're one of the very few who post up the good and the bad, even if it kinda goes back to your own decisions. kudos!:cheers:

More like the $0.99 toilet paper bra stuffing... The look on my face from that hood and seeing the bra stuffing fall out would be nearly the same :willy:

Good thing I dont date strippers

GS Ron 07-12-2011 04:37 PM

:UHood looks terrible
Good decision to go back to stock

saleentim 07-12-2011 04:39 PM

ZBoater 07-12-2011 04:40 PM
