1997 Automatic Corvette C5 - WORKED & MODDED! - $16,000

I'm selling my worked 1997 Automatic Corvette C5 shown below. It has 123,000mi and is still running STRONG. It has engine mod's done + added visual mods. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the vehicle. I will not be swindled into a ridiculously low price. This car push's 370 HP to the rear wheels. This car is ridiculously loud and will wake your neighborhood and set car alarms off easily from at least a football fields length away. This car will make the person who thinks they are better then you drool and you might need to bring a towel to wipe his chin for him because he will be starring in awe unable to move. If anyone is seriously interested they can contact me. Car is located in Westwood NJ. Thank you. DROPPED to $16,000 after months of being on this site with no hits.

[Update]
I just recently got it inspected and it passed and is valid until 11/13.

Its really a soft market right now on STOCK C-5's.. Just my 2 cents worth, I would just keep it and take it to your new address.

If you REALLY want to sell it, might I suggest removing about 80% of the info.. My late brother always told me, "Never buy someone's Hot Rod". You will never know what he did to it or how it was built. Don't get me wrong or get offended but... You have a ton of mods which would keep the normal C-5 shopper pass the add by. Your car looks great, but I think if you wait this "recession" out, you might have a better chance of getting closer to your price.. Like I said, No Flame here, just some advice from a guy who has sold a lot of cars in my 57 years... Good luck!

Thank you I believe in honesty. I'm going to get a person calling or texting about it asking whats done and I'm going to have to list the mods done either way. I was told at work today to tone down the beginning, lol. I'm not really interested in selling it but I'll keep it up the way it is and if someone is in and wants to drop a turbo or supercharger this is the perfect car for it. Even some heads would really open her up. Most people dont realize that the doors can open regular as well as up. That's why I don't understand why that guy was complaining before.

3rd_Vette 08-09-2011 08:18 PM

It was just a year ago that I bought my 98 and paid $20k for it, with the guy asking $23.. I was looking for BONE STOCK. It also had 17k miles and was about 400 miles from home. Ive only put about 1500 miles on it since, but as my 98 goes, I want a "cruiser". I also have a 79 DD that I have no problem doing anything and everything to.. I also drive it all year long. The 98 has yet to see a rain drop or puddle.. Its as clean as it was when it rolled off the assembly line.. BUT, I was looking for something as close to new as possible and I feel i paid a premium @$20k for it. In my case, if i responded to an add and it even had an after market ANYTHING, I passed.. If I was still in my 30's, it could be fun to own something like your 97... Best of luck with your sale.. Like they always have said, there is an a$$ for every seat! Enjoy!

Interested in trades for my supercharged Silverado I have listed ?? Would really like a AW C5 to match my AW Z28.

Army08 12-13-2011 07:12 PM

Nice Car! I see you lowered your price. You should PM a MOD and have them change or remove the price on your title. Damn nice car, especially for 15K. I'm surprised its not sold. Good Luck

xboxexpert 12-14-2011 02:19 PM

Updated with new price.

Tried to call you but you didn't answer. I left you a message.

Just to confirm, is the original LS1 still in place? Looks like you changed the cam, but not much of the other engine internals.

xboxexpert 12-14-2011 08:21 PM

Yes it is the LS1 that came with the car in 1997. I've made certain that all the parts that needed to be replaced were replaced with upgraded hardware. The engine has shown absolutely no signs of dying any time soon. It runs solid as a rock. I just recently got it inspected and it passed and is valid until 11/13.
