HUD installation on C6's first weekend of Sept.
I've had alot of requests in the Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina area. I am going to shoot for the first weekend in Sept.
I'll fly in on Friday Sept. 2. and should be in around noonish. I can start as soon as the plane lands and all day Saturday with a possiblity of a few on Sunday the 3rd. With all that being said I'd like to start a list and see if someone might have a possible spot to do it. I'll ask around to some friends of mine in the Charleston area and see if someone has a place or shop I can borrow for the weekend. Starting the list. 1. Hi Andrew,
Please count me in if you can do it by Sept 5 at the latest (earlier would be better). I can drive to the Atlanta - Augusta - Columbia - Charleston SC or Charlotte NC area depending on where you are going to be located. |

I just got off the phone with DSVettes and they will do a bulk buy, so if folks want center consoles, steering wheels, brake boots, eboots etc... now would be the time to look at having it done while installing HUD.
If we get enough folks up we can get a very good discount. http://www.dsvettes.com/store2008/home.php some of the work they've done to my car below: http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/q...ndew6/zhz2.jpg http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/q...214_175131.jpg http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/q...214_175054.jpg http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/q...212_185551.jpg http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/q...212_185526.jpg |

Sept. 2-4 is when I was planning on coming down. Any chance you can do it during that window? If I stay till the 5th I'll have to use vacation at my day job.

Andrew did mine as I watched in awe from start to finish at how conscientious and thorough he is. Supurb workmanship, caring and craftmanship the entire time with all the attention to detail you could ever hope or dream for. Thanks Andrew !!! :flag:
As far as the duct goes and using foil tape there is zero concern of it not working perfectly. The duct is nice and flat and the tape sticks and seals like the concrete where Jimmy Hoffa was enshrined back in the 1970's :D and remains from now til the end of eternity. After seeing the duct first hand and how it is already so tightly pressed together with nowhere for it to move, and then sealing it with that aluminum foil type tape we use on air conditioning ductwork in our attics in our homes that gets to be a zillion degrees summer after summer after summer that lasts forever in those brutal conditions I have absolutely zero concen of it ever moving or being any problem whatsoever. Look in your attic, you couldn't remove that tape if you wanted to, it lasts forever all over the country in a wide variety of climate conditions in everything from office buildings to wharehouses. Once you see the duct it will be blatantly obvious and will aleviate any concerns. Very cool upgrade that puts a smile on your face every time you get in your car, not only the speed and rpm's, but even the radio stations, etc, etc, display up on the windshield without ever have to look down. Very, very cool upgrade for little money !!! You can't buy it or order it seperately. To get the Heads Up Display (HUD) feature costs over $4200 dollars in the 3LT option package - plus tax!!! So in reality somewhere around $4500 bucks! That's a bunch of money no matter how you look at it. Very grateful to have Andrew doing these for us! Thanks again Andrew!!! |

Few folks asking about different stitches being offered on leather upgrades so I figured I'd just post some photos:
