Good thing you weren't under it. That wouldn't be too fun.

We had one here yesterday I didn't feel.

Tom Hudson 08-23-2011 03:15 PM

Rattled the heck out of Maryland!

TriplBlk 08-23-2011 03:30 PM

Holy crap!!!! You guys felt it too? It happened in my state actually. I think my dad said we were only 130 miles from the epicenter.I was laying in bed and it started shaking. I thought I was tripin lol. My dads 48 years old and has never felt one before in MD. He was working on a truck outside and when he came out of the shop it was rocking lol.

I remember a member on here "Gunning highway" or something and faintly remember him living in DC or near it. I hope he's alright.

C5Wolfe 08-23-2011 03:49 PM

I liked it!:woohoo:

Paul Wood 08-23-2011 03:56 PM

So, was it REALLY an earthquake? That close to Washington, D.C. it could have been a news report re-directing the country's focus on the problems of the country. OR,the rumbling could have been Mr. Obama dropping the ball once again as he fumbles around trying to lead the country into prosperity. Only the conspiracy theorists know for sure. Mmmmmmmmmmmm?

Luckily, we have our C5s to keep us blissfully occupied.

BADBIRDCAGE 08-23-2011 04:00 PM

The sky is falling; oh SH!T, that's the ground shaking. Either way uncomfortable for about 10 seconds. Taking off for Carlisle tomorrow am. Earthquake over, hurricane coming. You couldn't possibly evacuate from this area for a hurricane using the directed routing in less than about three days anyway. Looks like we are heading out at a good time.

The earth moves while waxing your vette. Gives a whole new meaning to waxing.

BTW felt it here too. NC

mundo 08-23-2011 04:10 PM

To bad the epicenter wasn't Marthas Vinyard.
5.8 - thats a tremor to Californians.

xpunter83 08-23-2011 04:16 PM
