Another "no start" looking for 2003 ECU/Fuse wiring diagram

I have seen fuse 22 and 18 are for injectors on the earlier C5's. I am looking to confirm this is the same on the 2003 models. Can someone please confirm these are or or not the correct fuses for injectors?

The reason why i question this is because the top of my fuse box does not have anything listed for fuse 22. However there are prongs in the fuse 22 spot.

This is a transplant situation i am building a GTM. The wiring harness/computer and fuse panel are from a 2003 vette.

If someone could post the wiring diagrams that would be an added benefit, thanks in advance!

Sure seems like you'd want the service manual for a swap like this.

ICUALL,

Thank you for the schematic! but i am trying to understand why i do not have a fuse in slot 22. plus fuse 18 says it's for HVAC. here is a picture of the lid...

From what I can see, minifuse #22 is used for fuel injectors on the right bank, from 98-04.

No wonder.... That is the cover for the passenger footwell fuse box......NOT the underhood fusebox.

Odd, the engine fuse panel has the same 3 connectors as the foot box? Let me take a piture of the fuses... So it sounds like the fuse panel i have is for the foot box not the engine bay....

This is the fuse box. Is this the right one?

Nope, that is the passenger footwell fusebox, not the underhood fuse box. Hopefully you did not connect 12 volts to that, with everything plugged in. :ack:

I have no idea what part number that is. If you don't believe me, perhaps a true electrical expert like Bill Curlee will chime in. Good luck with your project.

I beleive you, everything you have said makes sense, it also explains why i could not figure out why fuse 22 was not there, why i could not find the injector fuse from teh list on the cover, why the car would not start... no spark or fuel, why i had to by pass and jumper the starter to work...

Thanks for pointing this out! i was completly baffled!

Luck, you get the Kewpie doll today.

I too started noticing something strange when looking at that label and why there were bcm fuses, and then when I saw relay 38 and 40, the "light bulb" went off. Those are the damned DRL relays and I was just doing the DRL relay mod myself a day or so ago in the passenger footwell fuse panel.

Your lid looks like a 97 check this post http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-g...t-outlets.html

difference ???

okay here are the 2 his cover and the diagram Bill Dearborn posted in the 97 Vette thread. So the difference is ???
http://www.fquick.com/images/vehicle...3682354332.jpg

Here is a diagram of the Instrument Panel Electrical Center which is located in the passenger footwell behind the forward panel.

As you can see in the schematic these two plugs are hot all of the time when the fuses are OK.

Just because someone posts something in a thread discussing a particular year.........does not mean it is applicable.

The dead giveaway, are the maxifuses for "IGN 2" and "STARTER". On a 97 or 98, the "IGN 2" fuse number is 48, and the "STARTER" fuse number is #50. On a 99-04, the "IGN 2" fuse number is 50, and the "STARTER" fuse number is 52. Also, on a 97-98, there is no twilight sentinel. Relay 44 on a 97-98 is used for the rear window defog, while on a 99-04, relay 44 is used for the twilight sentinel.
