New C4 Owner
I just purchased a 1992 Corvette from a forum member (VegaVette). I couldn't be happier with the purchase and the transaction with VegaVette. Not only did he take immaculate care of this Corvette, but he also had some spare parts (Optispark, exhaust manifolds, floor mats, and some other parts). He is a true car guy and showed me his collection of cars (of course all of them were immaculate as well). I had about a 400+ mile drive home from picking up the car, and let me tell ya I had a smile on my face the entire time.
And yes I know a thread is worthless without pics, so here is one to tide you guys over (taken from my cell phone about an hour after the purchase) I'm hoping to find some time to take some proper photos here in the next couple of weeks. http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/...u/Newvette.jpg I also want to thank everybody on these forums, while this is my first post, I read MANY different threads about C4's and their common characteristics. So much knowledge on these forums, it's a great place. |
Congratulations. Looks like a DRM color Vette. It is nice to know that the Vette was kept within the Corvette Forum community.

Congratulations!!! Welcome!
Beautiful car! |
Thanks!
My family and friends still can't believe it's a 1992, they were all thinking newer due to how nice of condition it's in. Just speaks to the care that VegaVette put into the car. |
Welcome and congratulations on finding a nice car! Your comments made me remember that after purchasing my '88 Vette and driving it home, I sent a text message to my son saying, "The drive home was worth the purchase price!"
While I should point out that I got a really good deal and it needed some work, I haven't changed my mind -- it still makes me smile every time I drive it. Also, I highly recommend getting a FSM as soon as possible, either a printed copy or pdf version. There are so many unique little aspects to the Vettes that you will likely learn many details from it that you will benefit from -- along with info from the Forum. Happy Cruising! |
Looks like a nice, clean C4! Welcome to the family.

New 86
I just got my first Vette last week. My vin has a couple of numbers that don't match what the websites say. The vin is 1G1YY0785G5123533. The 0 and 7 should be body style and safety equipment. But they aren't listed on any sites. Any ideas?

Great looking car, and you beat us to the punch for a pic. Enjoy

Nice car, beautiful color. Too nice to be parked in a lot full of door dingers.
Oh, and gesundheit. |
Very nice car ---- congratulations.
Oh ---- that nice looking car should be parked far away from other cars !! if I ever have to stop someplace with my car, it takes us about 10 minutes to walk to the store, we park far away. |

Great car. I'm rather partial to that color myself since it is the same as my '92 vert. Now have fun modded it.

That's my sister's Jeep parked behind the vette (I rode with her and my two nieces up to get the Jeep), and there was only the one line of cars when we originally parked it, then those other two rows got some cars in it. But luckily nobody parked next to my sister Jeep or my Corvette. |
Congrats!
