*Official* Urethane TS2 Bumper Group Buy!!
Ok guy's I have received a lot of pm's about this. I told people I would start an official GB in the next few days so here it is. Below is most of the info but we need close to 30 people to get this going. I have no control over that, it is a requirement from manufacturing. Mold cost's for urethane parts are very expensive. There are 2 things though that you guy's need to know up front. One is the amount of time needed to get this made and two is a deposit. This would be my first urethane part and being that I want it perfect out of the box I wouldn't want it rushed at all. Im thinking time frame on this would be 4-5 months. One benefit to that is once you put a deposit down, it will give you time to save until they are ready. I have to ask for a deposit that is non refundable. That way we get the required amount of people for the GB. If something happens and you need out, you can sell your spot to someone else.
The deposit would be 50% down and the balance plus shipping when they are ready to ship. As mentioned below we can ship up to 3 bumpers in a box so if anyone is close to each other you can split the shipping cost (normally $150) Once a deposit is made, I put you on the list. I would let this go for possibly 4-6 weeks. If we didn't get the required people I would let manufacturing know how many we had locked in and let them decide if they wanted to move forward. If they said no, I would just go ahead and refund everyone in full. The price on these will be $550 with molded in lip, that is what the majority wants, not including shipping. This means $275 down and the balance plus shipping when they are ready. After the GB, the price will go up about $100-150 minimum. Keep in mind this is urethane, not fiberglass, so it will be the same material as the OEM bumper. Copied this from my last thread... Im sure most of you have seen the thread, but if not we are trying to make a bumper similar to the Tigershark but with the DRL/Parking lights filled in and we would use a LED style light in the lower opening. Basically it would be made of the same type of material as the original Tigershark. For a front bumper urethane is the way to go really, however manufacturing requires me to put in a huge order since the mold cost for urethane is expensive. Lol, when I say huge im talking close to 50 of them. If I could get 25 people to commit I could see them doing it. From what they tell me is it would be a perfect fit or super close right out of the box and actually they gave me a really good price. If I turned in a huge order I could probably do these for about the same price as fiberglass. We all know the Original TS is about $800, this one would be $650 and if I get a GB started I would do probably $550 + shipping. If we wanted we could probably have them made with the lip molded in as well since it's urethane it wouldn't crack etc. In my opinion for $550 it's a killer deal especially made in urethane. However as mentioned I would need a huge commitment, that is the only way to guarantee they get made in urethane. We can fit a minimum of 3 per box so if anyone were local to each other you could split shipping. I have lights that Dennis from Double D sent me. I would have manufacturing mold around those so we could just drop those in for the turn signal/parking lights. I believe Dennis said the lights would be about $85. Anyway I just wanted to post and see what your thought's were on this. The picture below is how we would make it. In the original thread we went back and forth with different designs, but IMO this is the best looking and the least complicated http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/m...Picture1-2.jpg Pre-Paid List 1.mosimann (NC) - 50% down 2.mtndv8 (ID) 50% down 3.DustinWinkle (ID) 50% down 4.fiberglassfan (OR) 50% down 5.nizzit 50 % down :flag: |

What about the front brake cooling ducts? Are the deleted with your front bumper or are they re-routed through the front bumper?

They are deleted. I haven't used them on my Z06 for over 2 years without any issues.
