69 Vert Resto Mod

Howdy guys, New to the forum and have been lurking for awhile. I am currently in the process of doing a full resto mod on a 69 vert I got off ebay in great condition. I am using a Street shop frame with full c4-c5 suspension and ZO6 brakes. For power I am using the LSA engine with a T56 tranny. Presently I have removed the body from the frame and am in the process of cleaning copious amounts of undercoat from the bottom of the body and stripping the paint. Final color will probably be a deep metallic blue or maybe black. Tray at street shop is doing the final touches on the frame/engine combo and it should ship soon. Here are a few pics of the car when I bought it and some progress pics.

I really like watching these resto mods come together. I'm sure this will be a nice build as you're off to a great start. Keep the progress reports coming and learn how to post pictures. :)
Good luck!

Got the interior all cleaned out. No rust on the birdcage and all the body bolts came out easily.

Having a rotisserie is so nice! Makes the body so much easier to work on.

Looks good... Really digging that body dolly/support system... Looks like you got plenty of room to move around and work on it...

Thanks Rogman, its called a Corvette substitution frame. Keeps the fiberglass body rigid by mounting to the body mount locations. It in turn is mounted to the rotisserie jacks. I can turn the entire body upside down or any angle. Makes cleaning the underside a bunch easier.

more progress

Did a little more progress on the 69. Got all of the fiberglass dings to the underbody taken care of. There were some hefty cracks I had to fix, namely the sides of the tranny tunnel where the seats mount. The jack cubby had a huge hole in it too. Now in the process of replacing the front valance panel and beefing up the bumper mounts.

Also received the new frame/engine combo from Street Shop. The LSA looks wicked. Very clean work. Cant wait to drop the body on this baby.

Thanks Rogman, Your build has been an inspiration. BTW, how do you like the Upol Raptor? I was thinking of hitting my underbody with it after the lizard skin.

Love the Raptor liner... Easier to spray than the lizard skin... Think it complements the LS very nicely... Love the texture and gloss it has...

What a veteran on the shop floor! That is really coming together nicely. I have to say I will be a little saddened when you cover up that yellow paint. Won't you reconsider???:cry
The car looks beautiful, and yes, that engine looks wicked!

What have you done with the stock engine/drivetrain?
