Vengeance built Twin Turbo C6 Z06 goes 1343/1229... Graph/Video/Info Inside

This project actually started October of 2010.. The build has snow balled quite a bit since then...

For more information on how this all started out click here:

http://ls1tech.com/forums/multimedia-exchange/1341381-vengeance-racing-tim-lynchs-twin-turbo-c6-z06-build-thread.html

After putting some miles on the combo in the link above Tim decided he wanted to build an engine that could support larger boost levels... The new engine consisted of the following:

427 cubic inch RHS
RHS Race Block- 4.125 Bore/Standard Deck
Lunati Pro 4" Stroke Crankshaft
Lentz Connecting Rods
Diamond Pistons/Rings
Custom Camshaft- MILD solid Roller
Jesel Solid Lifters
All Pro LSW-1 Cylinder Heads
Jesel Rockers

Intake
FAST LSXR 102mm Intake
Nick Williams 102mm DBW Throttlebody

Fuel
Racing Solutions Triple Intank Fuel System
FIC 1500cc Hi Impedance Fuel Injectors

Clutch:
RPS Triple Carbon
Tick Adjustable Master Cylinder

Exhaust:
B&B Fusion
DMH Dual Electric Cutouts
(At anything over 19psi we had extreme backpressure issues that were solved by adding the cutouts)

Boost Controller:
AMS 1000

Turbos:
Precision 62mm Billet Wheel
Modified APS kit

Fuel:
93 Octane up to 15psi
VP Q16 up to 25psi

Dyno Graph:

Run #13 had a much more aggressive "ramp" that would have allowed us to make a bit more power if we were able to keep the tires from spinning...

Run #12- we softened the ramp a bit to allow the boost to come on more gradual to get a clean pull..

This Z06 will average 34mpg cruising @ 80mph on the highway and drives about as close to stock as you can possibly get with the modifications it has.

Stay tuned for good WOT videos coming shortly!!!

That's some ridiculous power....beyond ridiculous, actually.

:iagree:

Only one thing wrong..... Its not my car :D

Ls240sx 01-06-2012 03:26 PM

Vtec at 110mph?

Vince99FRC 01-06-2012 03:43 PM

Where are your cutouts located?

halilcakir 01-06-2012 05:53 PM

Wanna watch the 60-200mph pull video :)
Please dont forget to take the pbox with you

Z_Rocks 01-06-2012 06:06 PM

Why such a huge dip between 100 - 110?

JMBLOWNWS6 01-06-2012 06:17 PM

Spinning on the dyno.

Unreal 01-06-2012 08:01 PM

Like they said, first pull it spun the tires so they lowered the ramp on the boost controller so prevent that.

Might wanna watch out as id recalled all 1600 injectors. You called them 1500 but pretty sure u meant 1600. Fuel calculations are totally out the door as engine airflow is scaled big time. So MPG is meaningless. Not trying so sound like a hater just do a search on injectors. There 1000 and 2000 are fine btw.

Nick, I think it said they are FIC injectors, which are different and come in different variations than what ID offers.

As usual, its their knowledge.......... But the power is nice and useless with a stick.:thumbs:

Damn awesome work Ron and VR Congrats to Tim..
Waiting for WOT vids :D

Bucknut2006 01-07-2012 10:31 PM

Wow, that's just crazy power.

meatbag 01-08-2012 12:27 PM

Looks like a bigger back side on the turbos would really bring the back end up if you are having that much backpressure. Or is it a downpipe exhaust routing problem?

SBCGENII 01-08-2012 12:40 PM

Did you modify the exhaust manifold at all? What size turbine wheel and a/r did you go with if you dont mind sharing?
