A friend has ask me to drive his Vette because he can't,,,,,

I have a buddy who broke his ankle and has asked me to drive his 2003 MSG Coupe every once in a while to keep it stirred up. Should I do it? He loves his Vette as do all of us. Kinda scares me if the worst should happen. Damn Proud he asked me.

What do you guys/gals think?:lurk:

Drive it like you stole it Kent!

Mr.Bill 01-20-2012 11:43 PM

Why not? I let others drive mine, That is why we have a thing called insurance, It is a car and can be replaced.

Vetteriffic 01-20-2012 11:46 PM

Do it but be careful. Take him with you and let him buy the beer; on second thought, make that root beer!

If a "friend" asks you to drive his car and you say no, you're not much of a friend. I would have said just agreed and not posted on a world wide forum asking for opinions.

I would

Vetteman Jack 01-21-2012 10:28 AM

Do the guy a favor and drive it. Just be careful and all will be OK. He'll appreciate you taking care of his car.

Your Friend asked you to do him a favor.......

That's what Friends do.

Please, help the poor guy out :willy:

imavettegirl 01-21-2012 12:34 PM

why did you even see the need to ask?

just drive it.

2slicks1vette 01-21-2012 12:54 PM

Your friend asked you because he needs you to keep the motor free of carbon deposits. Therefore, being a good friend, you should redline each gear while you drive it.

damilleniumboy 01-21-2012 01:00 PM

Drive it, I would.

Drive it and be careful. Don't leave it in any parking lots.

Back in the 70s, I helped my buddy drag racing his 69 Camaro A/SA. We had a national event coming up and he couldn't get off work to take the car to the local track. Just freshened up the 427 and wanted some runs on it. So he asked me if I would take his truck, trailer and car to the track and run it.....well HELL YEAH!!!:woohoo:

Turned out I won the combo eliminator two weeks in a row. I ended up driving the car the rest of that season. I think he got the idea I was going to win all the time. I eventually told him it would be better if he drove himself. Had a blast while it lasted though.

Do it!
