The Gray looks nice Ron . So far that's my favorite. Just a clean stock look.

I did mine with duplicolor cast iron gray and clear engine paint.
I guess I'll find out how durable they are.
I didn't like the Z06 Red on my Yellow car.

It takes the following tools to remove the calipers:
15mm box wrench (caliper bolts x 2)
13mm box wrench (banjo fitting)
13mm flare wrench (brake hard line to flex line)
3/16 vacuum line cap (to cap the hard line)
Channel lock pliers (to remove the frame clip)

I completely disassembled the calipers and sand blasted them clean. They were a butt ugly brush on yellow.

You fon't need to disassemble if cleaning and painting only.

Nice job Ron!! Looks like new from the factory.

Nice work!

Like others have said....keeping the system from going dry is priority one.

Can't bleed the ABS pump without a Tech II.

Ask me how I found that out :hide:

Thanks guys. A vast improvement over the hand painted slopped on wrong yellow they were.
And I heard about the problems with running the ABS dry, so I had the caps at the ready when I took it all apart. Although they hardly dripped at all. But they would have!

Here is a photo of what this mess looked like before I started. Didn't get the ugly caliper in the shot though. Everything looks new now!

I'll do a start to finish series in a new post when I'm done. Discovered the hub bearings are dry, so ordered those today.
Shoot, wasn't even going to do this, but was waiting on engine parts....so.......

Ron
