Lock mechanism between the seats
 

Would anyone know the proper procedure to remove the lock mechanism in between the seats in a '62?

I'd just add that when you re-insert the key cylinder in the housing, DON'T install the cylinder upside-down; you won't have a hole in the bottom of the housing to access the little spring-loaded retainer plate, and you won't be able to remove the cylinder again. :thumbs:
