Good wax for dark color paint

2007 LeMans Blue...

I've been using Griot's Garage Best of Show Wax and quite honestly, it doesn't look all that different from after I washed and dried the car.

I've heard from people talking at car shoes in the past that color matters, so I'm looking for advice on a good wax that will work with my paint to make it really shine well.

Thanks in advance.

I have a lemans blue car. Collinite 845 is the only thing I've tried that really impresses me on this car.

it hides no defects though...

I use Best of Show and have had great results with it. For some deeper colors, such as red and black, Pinnacle Souveran is superb, though it's not a durable wax.

You might consider Griot's new Premium Carnauba Wax. While they don't say so, it appears to geared towards the Souveran market at less cost.

Like many people here on CF, I've used the Zaino products, and been quite happy with them. My '01 'Vette has had nothing but Zaino on it since it was brand new.

However, purchasing the Zaino products can be a bit of a hassle. About 3 years ago, I got a sample of Surf City Garage's "Nano Seal and Nano Glaze", as well as their "Speed Demon" spray detailer. I love the stuff! I have 5 black vehicles in my family fleet, and 4 of them now have the Surf City wax on them. When my Zaino runs out, the 'Vette will have the Surf City wax on it too.....

Zaino Z5 will look terrific on Lemans Blue. If you want to take it a step further follow with the Clear Sealant and finish with Z8 Grand Finale. It will look wet. Z6 is a nice quick detailer for in between full details

When I order Zaino it is usually on my doorstep in 2 or 3 days.

Blackfire Midnight Sun is also a good one for dark colors.

I also have a 2007 LeMans Blue. It's one of five cars in the household, all of which are different colors. I absolutely believe that products look different on different colors or cars and that there really isn't any single product that is best for everything or everyone. That's why I have shelves full of stuff in my garage. Some I use regularly, and some that I've tried and they sit there waiting for a good home because I was less than thrilled with them.
For my 2007 LeMans Blue I've found that I like carnauba wax more than I like sealants, and Chemical Guys 50/50 Paste Wax looks better on it than anythhing else I've tried.
Remember though that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, and one man's ceiling is another man's floor.
I've gone out and purchased things because of reviews I've read here and in other places saying that a certain product is the best thing ever, only to find that I didin't necessarily feel the same way after buying it and trying it out.

I agree carnubas work excellent on dark colors, I used to use Megs yellow 22 paste (pastes always outshine liquids) but I got lazy and throw on the liquid version with my orbital. Its about $16 per bottle which is nice.

Ive tried them all. Now Im using "Black magic" Decieving name but can be used on all colors. The "surf City " speed demon is an excellent detail spray.

Are you guys applying/removing by hand or using a power polisher of sorts?
