Why would you want to down grade your suspension? :confused2:

:iagree:
Do's and Don'ts: Do stay with and fix if necessary the stock suspension. Don't downgrade to a solid axle. Unless your drag racing the car with ALOT of HP, there's no good reason to go with a solid axle. It won't handle or ride as well as the IRS. |

Don't go with a solid axle. There are plenty of members here that have upgraded their IRS to handle far north of 500 hp. 500 HP is nothing now a days with the right parts and build for your engine.
Check out Alan's thread on his Super 10 bolt IRS build. He runs consistent 10.7's at the track. You can pony up some more $$ and go with a 12 bolt IRS set up. Contact Tracdogg2 and he will give you all the details. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c3-t...-build-up.html |
call up autofab there great to work with. and just look around on the search you'll find lots of us that spend a 1/3 of the cost and have a more reliable set up then upgrading that ten bolt.. i dant have a problem with independent suspension by any means just C3 design isnt the best and ull find that out shortly or ones that drive a vette like it should be.... the only time id say stay independent in the rear is if u were auto crossing. street cruise straight... ull save money and u cant tell a differnce.
