TFS 225cc Milling
Alright guys, im looking at buying the TFS 225cc Heads and shooting for the 500+ rwhp mark. I was wondering how much I can mill them without running into ptv issues. I have heard 61cc is safe. What would that put my cr at?Would it be better if i just put a cometec .040 gasket on in without millling? what would the compression ratio then be?
My cam is EPS 234/242 .601/.605 112+4LSA. Probably slightly smaller than g6x3. I put down 460 rwhp before the nw102 tb and 100mm maf and that was just pulling it right off the street doing a pull then pulling it right back off. Didn't check to see if there was any KR or anything. The car is probably right around 470 rwhp right now. You think I can pull 500+ rwhp with the TrickFlow Heads? |
I'll let you know in a couple weeks. I have a slightly smaller cam, but I am 59cc with .060 gaskets.

In for results! This post has me very excited...pretty much the same boat/direction my car is headed.

nobody knows what the compression ratio's will be and if i will have ptv issues?

I think you will be good, I did 61cc and stock gaskets with the as cast 220's, should be the same head cast minus the cnc'ing. My cam is a little smaller at 235/239, I picked up 40 rwhp with a base tune my tuner did while we drove around for a couple hours. Should be putting it back on the dyno for final WOT tuning within the next few weeks. I expect to hit 496-500 as a final result. I am at 490/447 right now.

Sorry, I believe 61cc put me at 11.5 with the stock GM head gaskets.

Thank you |
Run a 62cc with a .040 head gasket. That would be about max for that set up. the thinner head gasket will tighten up the quench less of a chance of knock.

Awesome that is what I was looking for. Nice numbers too man. If I can hit 500+ rwhp I will be pumped:rock:.
Thank you I have a feeling your going to come in around 510-520 with your setup, should be bad a_s no doubt! |
