I need some advice. Active handling service came up.

I have a 2008 z51 without the telescoping steering wheel.
Just the other day I get the messege. Pops up a few min after start up any ideas what it can be. Would that little clip do the trick? I can use the advise guys. Thank you.

Don't ignore it. Get to a dealer asap.

Turn off TC/AH at start-up until you can get it fixed. That will prevent the system from intervening unexpectedly and possibly doing something you're not ready for.

The most common fix and TSB is the connector in the steering column, but other sensors/hardware in the car can be at fault.

Personally I would not DIY this even though the connector-clip appears to be an easy mod.

Thank you for the heads up.

Well, lots of possibilites. Usual requirement, get to a autoparts place that will read your codes for free (or GM dealer that will charge you if your out of warrenty).
when you have msg, go there, turn off car, have all code(s) read, before you start car again. i think they will go away if no problem during startup.
post code(s) for advice in a new thread and/or get warrenty work done if ya have it.

what clip are you guys talking about?

Will any mechanic have the equipment to check my codes?
There is a small orange clip that hugs a connector to make the fit tight.

Is this a common problem on the 2008?
