Willcox Combined Video Thread!

Hi Everyone. I have a hard time keeping track of the videos and when I need one I have to go searching for them. So I thought I’d start a thread of all the videos that have been made public so far. I will add to these very soon since I’ve been working on three other projects. They are broken down by generation.

In the next few days I'll add links below to discussions on this forum that are related to these videos. A good case to this would be the DZRick post on the 68 wiper motors. There is just so much good info there I'd hate to see it lost in the trees.

Suggestions for new videos would be great too!

This should be a sticky!

Willcox Corvette 08-05-2012 07:09 PM

I don't think it can be a sticky... It will help me keep track of it though.

Hi Ernie,
This is a good idea !
There are so often questions about wiper motors and this thread will make it easier to get to your help.
Regards,
Alan

Can the mods make this a sticky? This is great stuff when I'm going to need it.

Willcox Corvette 08-06-2012 07:04 PM

Guys.. The mods can't make it a sticky because I'm not the Section sponsor.

It would be an infringement on the rights of the vendors that spent extra money to sponsor a section. I fully understand this stance and agree.

I appreciate the kind words and just look for more to be added to this thread soon.

(And check out the two day special sale) :D

Great videos, but one question. I have a '77 with a fuel light that stay on all the time, but I don't know where to find the module in your test vid. It's not behind the center gauge cluster where the light is. Where to look?

Willcox Corvette 08-06-2012 10:11 PM

In many cases when you have a car without the module.. people will stick a bulb and socket in the hole. The printed circuit board supplies power and ground to that socket hole and without the module it will stay on all the time.

Just remove the bulb from the socket that is in there...

I'll have reproduction modules in a few months... it's one of our projects we are working on at the moment.

Thanks, that makes sense. I'll be on the lookout for the replacement part.

Willcox Corvette 08-07-2012 08:09 PM

The modules should be ready in three weeks... I hope.. the socket is the issue and today we overcame this....

I couldn't be more pleased either.. since we are out of the cores! :D

Video Suggestion

Love the videos. Watching a them speaks a million more words than following printed instructions. I would like to see one adjusting a door window with new weatherstripping. I'm very close on mine with the help of the AIM and forum discussions but not satisfied it is as good as it can be.
Thanks for all of the hard work to produce these. I know it is a chore.
-Rick

Thanks for the great customer service too!

Willcox Corvette 08-22-2012 02:58 PM

Thank You! I think we have a door regulator job coming in next week.. maybe that one would be a good one to video. Plus the adjustment of the door glass after the fact. I'm not sure if we'll have time though, that will depend on how fast the customer needs the car back.

video moved to the top post.

Willcox Corvette 08-23-2012 10:20 PM

two new ones for you soon.. :D

Willcox Corvette 09-05-2012 11:28 PM

Coming soon.... Headlamp vacuum parts and issues.. I've worked on this 6 hours tonight and hopefully it will be done soon.
