Route 66 TV Show 63 Corvette color?

Just curious, does anyone know what the color was of the 1963 Corvette convertible that was used in the old TV show Route 66?
Thanks.

Saddle Tan in '63 & '64

Thanks A-Snake, That's actually my favorite color combo on the 63's and 64's.

Regardless of the year, it was always "black and white" on my TV.

The reasoning for fawn beige or saddle tan was that those were the colors that showed up best on black and white TV. I think it shows good in color too, but I'm a little biased...:lolg:

I remember the first episode when they showed the c2. The first shot was when they were looking down on the car. I remember looking and thinking,, one day, one, day.

The first episode was a 60.
that show hooked a lot of us. we watch an episode every night or two and are almost through the first season. I also recall when they were filming in my home town during the 5th episode. I was 11 years old. seems like just yesterday. :D

It's on most nights in the early evening on the MeTV channel. We watch it all the time. It was interesting in a couple of episodes that the C1 has wire wheels.

I bought the complete dvd set a couple months ago, so we've been watching it in it's original order. now we're just late in season one, but they've had the wire wheels all along, so far. in one of the last episodes we watched, Todd hawked the wheels for $300.00 to stake a gambler in Reno (he won, so they got the wheels back in the end).
The rack is interesting, in that Chevy didn't offer them (or the wheels) as an option, so why was it on the car. with Chevy being the sponsor of the show, I would think they would only have factory options on the car.
I've never figured out what's in the trunk, as they carry everything they ever use on the luggage rack. in one episode, Buzz walked off in a huff, but only took a bedroll and one suitcase from the rack. I guess everything in the trunk belonged to Todd. :D

Does the tag include the numbers 860 on the 63 Vert?
