Thanks Doug for getting me closer to 9s! So close!

Thanks to Doug for the tune and Tommy for inviting me to your rental. Doug's tuning got me to run my personal best of 10.00@141.88

ECS Paxton Novi 1500 (no restrictor plate)
1 7/8" American Racing Header
Methanol Injection and your tune!
Stock A6 trans, converter and rear.

I couldn't have done it without your help and ECS for doing the modifications.

no 9 for you! You should have brought your skinnies ...

It was good seeing ya!

LS1LT1 11-17-2012 09:52 PM

Wow Artie, that's a HUGE new best, just a mere .005mph lower gust of head wind and that's a 9.9999. :D
Congrats.

Was this still on the full size fronts or did ya use the skinnies?

I did have breakfast. But, I didn't have lunch and wouldn't eat the double burgers or hot dogs Rob was serving. Although, they were smelling great. Skinnies, no breakfast or some wind would have netted it.

Nice pass, crazy Et and mph with these ecs kits, I am considering getting one in the spring, have u liked the kit? How much boost on this pass, and how much boost did you start with and what times in 1/4.
Car is a 99 frc with bolt ons, tex clutch.
Thanks! And skinnies and lightweight battery 9's!!!

2003VETT 11-18-2012 07:04 AM

Congrats Artie on your new PB, soooo close, yet so far! You'll get there, but your times are awesome considering it's a stock trans, converter and rear!,

Split327 11-18-2012 08:08 PM

Congrats Artie, the car is flying!

Redvette_22 11-18-2012 08:26 PM

Artie, sorry I was not paying attention with all the BS that my car was giving me with not starting. If I had known you could have used my skinnies as I did not have them on my car most of the day and it would have been nice to see another car's performance with them to compare to. Good job in any case..:yesnod:

boogieman 11-18-2012 08:38 PM

Artie, congrats !:salute:

Dennis, thanks! Your may of had starting issues but once it started your car was flying too!
Doug and I thought we could do it full weight. Stock C6 steel wheels and rollbar.

He would've gone at worst a 9.90 and probably a very high 142mph with your skinnies on the car. :yesnod:

Well, they're not actually steel of course but they are still quite heavy. :)

Oh, that Digital Corvettes thread from like two years ago ya mean?
I remember I was among the doubters as well (back then I'd thought the best your car would ever go was 10.4s/10.3s with the stock converter) but I was proven wrong quite some time ago LOL. :D
