Is This Iphone Holder Legal
This is a Belkin phone holder with handle bar attachment. I modified the mount to fit around the e-brake handle. I added a piece of webbing strap and a longer screw. It is easily removeable by unscrewing the knurled knob. Just wondering is this legal? I can still pull and release the e-brake handle with no problem.:smash:

No you will be immediately arrested and thrown in jail if you are in posession of this iphone holder.

You'll probably get 18 months for the possession of that holder.

Haha, What I am wanting to know is it legal to mount a holder on your e-brake. |
We're surounded by clowns in this forum...! :willy::rofl:
Why would it not be legal? It doesn't interfere with your driving/vision at all. |

Don't see why it would be illegal. As long as you can still pull the handle up and engage the E-brake if needed what difference would it make. It's not like it is in your way of shifting or steering the car. But, I guess it is always possible that some strange law is out there that would make it illegal - check with your local PD or state Highway Patrol on this.

I had something similar mounted on the ebrake handle of my Nissan Altima. The CHP who stopped me said "hey that's cool...did you make it yourself?". BUT he gave me a ticket anyway for 65+ (he said 70) on a 55.

I think its only illegal to put a C5 cover on a C2 corvette.
Did people eat to much today? I read some of the posts and I remember the Three Dog Night song mama told me not to come "Do you want whiskey in your water, or sugar in your tea? What are all these crazy questions they're askin' me?" I don't know about anyone else here but I can't remember the last time I used the E-Brake in any of my cars. |

Legal or not, I can think of better places to mount it, Like the ProClip that clips on to the radio bezel.

Legal? If you have State Inspection ... why not ask your mechanic, or inspection station? Most of us do not know the laws of your state.

I'd highly recommend this model of phone holder.
