Any suggestions on the best place/way to stow a firearm in a C6 Vert?:pistols:

contact DSVettes. They make custom holsters and mounted hiding spots for the Vettes and other cars.

Don't...unless yer lookin' fer trouble. Leave the hollywood stuff to hollywood.

If I feel like I would need a gun where I'm going....... I leave the Corvette at home. :leaving:

But to answer the question I cant imagine any other places than, on yourself, the console, or in the back cubby's.

My XD45 Compact fits in the door pocket just fine for when I'm driving. I've stowed it in the rear storage compartments when travelling through states that don't honor my PA permit.

sounds like another victim to me:thumbs:
Big difference between looking for trouble and ready for trouble, maybe you will learn the hard way which is which...

OP. I carry mine on me, but if I go in a no carry zone, I have a biometric gunsafe.

Under the passenger seat.

Ozarkwoods 12-03-2012 07:45 AM

That is a good question, one that I have been toying around for a few months. I was thinking of mounting it behind the passenger seat, but the only way to get it out without sweeping the passenger is down and between the counsole. Not very quick and it's awkward. I have seen a holster mount that straps to the steering like this:

Do a google search for vehicle holsters or conceal carry holster for vehicle and you will get a bunch of ideas.

Hollywood is for fantasy, carrying a firearm is for safety/protection from the real world.:crazy2:

Goatdad some just would rather not protect themselves and leave everything to fate, or the Law to protect them, it's their choice to be sheep. But when the wolves single them out they hope that a good sheep dog is there to protect them. It's OK all we can do is prepare ourselves.

Give him a break. He's from Washington. They've voted solid Democrat for almost 30 years. The government will make sure nothing bad ever happens to him. :hide:

:iagree:

Mine's usually strapped to my ankle, but if not on me, it's either in the console or locked in the VetteBin.

Never leave the protection of yourself and loved ones to chance....Or to anyone else, for that matter...

I have put mine under the center console. I want to take it apart and see if there is any room for me to remove the underside of it and put in a foam piece that is form fitted to my gun.

ny32182 12-03-2012 08:47 AM

If not on you, the center console should work for all but the biggest semis. Barring some custom option, that is the only place from which you are going to be able to get it into play reasonably quickly. Otherwise I'd just stow it in the back.

Wezel 12-03-2012 08:48 AM

Glock in the console, while carrying the Nano in my iwb holster. FWIW, I think it's easier to get to the console weapon while sitting in the seat. And when you get out, you don't have to fumble around retrieving it to take it with you.

Other opinions?

Mine fits well. Its a Magnum Research Desert Eagle Baby Eagle .40 Compact (2006) but I would like it to be form fitted for a few reasons. 1. So it doesnt move around at all. 2. So nothing else touches it.

Console works for me, easy to get to if needed and out of sight.

Based on your description earlier in the thread, so far I don't know exactly what you mean by "under the console" but I'd like to see pics if you ever get it going.

You could cut a piece of foam from a Pelican case, etc, to fit your gun into the regular console space and it would not move. Personally I wouldn't have much other stuff in the console at the same time and definitely nothing that could get into the trigger guard.
