Lewis 5 motorsports flare install, ALMOST FINISHED!!!
I have started the pre-fit before paint for the Lewis 5 Motorsports fenders and quarters I recieved last week. The rear quarters are the 1 1/4" flare instead of the 2". I have stock GM C6 Z06 wheels and tires and I am pleased with how these flares are going to look with the wheels. The pics are of the R/R quarter and unfortunately work schedules and an upcoming vacation is going to string this project along. I will post again as progress is made. Let me know what you think of the quarter over the rear wheel. The splash guard is just clamped on in the pictures. Also I have a 3/16th spacer behind the wheel for inner fender clearance.

Best flares out for the C5. It's going to look really good.
|
Thanks JW. Are you doing anything in the city this weekend? I saw something about cars and coffee at Fort Thunder. We are thinking about taking the 72.
|
Anxious to see the result. These quarters are perfect for people who see 2" as excessive but stock as not enough, like myself.
|
Doug I hear you. From the preliminary mock up I think they are going to look real good with the wheels I have. The mod will also update the car.
 |
That's gonna look really good when finished. I like the fact they are a 1 1/4" flare. What width rim are you using?
|
Z06ufgrad:
The Wheels are 07 C6 Z06 stock wheels which are 12" wide in the rear. These are not reproduction to fit a C5 they are true C6 GM wheels. |

I totally understand JW. I would like to meet up with you sometime and talk mods. We have decided to do some up grades to our C5 and the fenders and quarters are the kickoff. Hopefully talk to you soon.
 |
For sure. I would love to check the C5 out once you have that complete.
I have an office in Del City now. Just let me know what you have in mind when the time comes. |
Will do!

Watch how far your tire/wheel stick out --you don't want to
crack a fender. |
Like these meaty ones...

you need the OP's 1 1/4" flares on your car to cover your tires from sticking out.

Looking forward to the finished install:rock:
