C7 Wheels
Silver painted, Chrome and Machine Face. Correct? Can anyone describe Machine Face to me? Also, the Stingray logo is Chrome? Probably OEM body colored option MY '15?

That's also how they did the optional knock off wheels(turbines) on the original Sting ray. |
Search Google Images for "machine face" and you'll get many examples.
But there is some confusion as to what is available. According to the sales guide, there will be black and chrome for the Z51 package, and machine face and chrome for the base. But the website indicates that there will be black, chrome and sterling silver. I'm guessing that sterling silver is the same as machine face, but they should be consistent. Silver painted isn't listed in either place. |
The silver and chrome look the best...
http://www.extravaganzi.com/wp-conte...Stingray-2.jpg The wheels above look the best on the C7.. They carry on with the razor edge lines of the cars design. But those base wheels below look kinda plain and boring. :( http://blogs.hotrod.com/files/2013/0...rvette-022.jpg |

I believe that Sterling Silver is standard for the base 5 spoke wheel and the Z51 split spoke wheel and that's why they are not listed.

Where did this image come from? Is it photoshopped? I don't believe I have ever seen the C7 with this brake caliper and rotor setup. All the other Z51 C7s I have seen have curved C-shaped slots on the rotors and the caliper did not say Brembo on them. EDIT - Also never saw any C7s with Dunlops. |
The stock wheels are ugly.

The "Fork Wheels" look ten times better than the base wheels.

OMG THOSE WHEELS ARE AMAZING
haha really though! |
It would be so much nicer if the standard wheel had the same design but wider 19/20” with 6 spokes in machined face.
|
Chrome a little too flashy. Painted a little too dull. I would love to see them bring back a polished aluminum wheel. To me they are classy with and have a warmer glow to them compared to chrome.
