As long as you do nohting more than replace them, it should not effect the alignment.
If you take off any of the 'a' arms at the wheels, you'll then need an aliignment.

The C6 Z51 sway bars will be a nice upgrade to your car.

I bought mine along with the C-6 Z06 shocks from Gene a couple of years ago. Best low dollar upgrade avaiable.

I got mine from Gene as well. Word of warning. My sways rubbed on my cradle. The cradle steps out a tiny bit just outside of the bushing mounts. The fatter C6 Z51 swaybar rubbed in those locations. I made a pair of shims to step the bushings/sways off the cradle to clear those spots so it doesn't rub anymore. I know others have had the same problem so keep an eye on it.

HUH????

I have the C6Z51 sways and I run a 345/25/20 which I track from time to time with no issue at all or any rubbing

Z06 correct, I think he was referring to the z51

Yeah, but the OP asked about C6 Z51 sway bars. They're a bit thinner than the Z06 sways and recommended for a narrower tire.

I put C6Z but corrected it to say C6Z51. I went from C5 Z51 sways to the C6 Z51he sways. So would the C6 Z06 been a better choice?

From what I have read and been told from other members the C6-Z51 bars are the better choice for the smaller tire, less than 325, but I'm sure there could be exceptions to the rule.

I put the C6 ZO6 shocks and sways on mine and I Love them..!

stevegray04 02-07-2013 10:06 AM

Gene: So if I change to the Z51 bars, do I have to worry about rubbing or not? If so, is there a fix? I have read good things about this, but I don't want to do this supposedly straight-up, bolt-on upgrade and then have a problem. I have an '04.
